Conference Schedule & Sessions

The scientific program for CONSOWA 2017 brought together researchers and practitioners in soil and water conservation. The program was coordinated by Ildefonso Pla, who oversaw the structure of sessions, keynote presentations, and contributed papers.

Sessions were managed by Àngela-D. Bosch, ensuring each thematic block ran smoothly across the five-day conference held from 12 to 16 June 2017 in Lleida, Spain.

Abstracts and publications were handled by Rosa M. Poch, with short and extended abstracts forming the backbone of the conference proceedings.

Whether you are a seasoned surfer or a complete beginner, the world of paddleboarding and water sports offers something for everyone. Calm, sheltered bays with gentle waves provide the perfect setting for those just learning to stand and glide, while more experienced paddlers can seek out thrilling rides along stunning coastlines. Warm climates and beautiful destinations like Costa Rica, Hawaii, and the turquoise waters of the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos make for unforgettable adventures. Many popular beaches and coastal towns offer rental shops, lessons, and schools to help you get started. The sport is also a fantastic full-body workout, combining balance, core strength, and the simple joy of being out on the water surrounded by incredible scenery.

For those looking to explore beyond the surf, paddleboarding opens up a world of discovery. You can glide through calm mangroves, paddle along sheltered coastlines, or enjoy the stunning scenery of places like Lake Tahoe, Seattle, and the Florida Keys. Stand-up paddleboarding is a versatile activity suitable for all skill levels, whether you are looking for a peaceful workout or an adventurous tour. The sport continues to grow in popularity worldwide, with new locations and opportunities emerging each year. From the warm waters of Mexico and Costa Rica to the beautiful beaches of California and Europe, there is no shortage of amazing spots to enjoy. The combination of water, sun, and gentle waves creates an experience that is both relaxing and invigorating.
